Does Superstore Accept Amex?
Real Canadian Superstore accepts Amex if you follow this workaround:
- Buy at least a $30 Superstore gift card on the Rakuten Gift Card Shop.
- Pay with your Amex Card to earn points, plus 1% Cashback.
- Earn $30 sign up bonus from Rakuten.
- Use your Superstore gift card in store.
You can also get grocery delivery from Instacart and pay with your Amex Card to earn points. When you order with Instacart, you can earn 5x the points with your Cobalt Card.

Here’s How to Use Your Amex Card at Superstore
Step 1: Create Your Account
Create your free account at Rakuten.ca
Step 2: Buy a $30 Superstore Gift Card
- Buy a Superstore gift card for at least $30.
- Add to Cart
- Choose Payment Method: PayPal. Make sure to add your Amex Card to your PayPal account and pay with it.
*You must choose PayPal as your payment method for this to work.*
If you don’t have a PayPal account, create an account for free + earn $10. Then add your Amex Card as a payment method.
Step 3: Get $30 Cashback, Earn Amex Points & 1% Cashback
- Wait for your gift card to arrive via email (within 1 day).
- Print your gift card and use it in store at Superstore.
- Your $30 cashback will be credited to your Rakuten account within 7 days of purchase.
- That’s it! Now you can use your Amex Card at Superstore and earn $30 cashback!
