That’s enough for 2 nights at the Sheraton Wall Centre in downtown Vancouver, BC, Canada. Valued at $224 a night, for a total of $448. That’s a very good return for a Card that only cost $120. How To Earn Marriott Bonvoy Points

You’ll earn 5x points for every $1 in eligible card purchases at participating Marriott Bonvoy properties, and on eligible travel and gas purchases.

You can double dip on points by earning 10% with Silver Elite Status, and 25% more points with Gold Elite status when you book direct.

You’ll earn 2x points for every $1 in all other card purchases.

Receive Marriott Silver Elite Status

You’ll receive automatic Silver Elite loyalty status with the Marriott Bonvoy Card Canada. Most notably, you’ll earn 10% bonus points on stays, and late checkout (generally 2pm, but subject to availability).

Get Upgraded to Gold Elite

If you charge over $30,000 CAD to your card in 1 year, you’ll be upgraded to Gold Elite loyalty status which most notably entitles you to earn 25% bonus points on stays, a room upgrade, late 2pm checkout (upon availability).

At the Marriott Residence Inn Wailea in Maui we received an incredible 1-bedroom suite room upgrade overlooking the ocean with our Gold Elite status.

This took our hotel stay to the next level, and we now have memories of having morning coffee with ocean views and watching those incredible Hawaii sunsets every night during our stay.

Checking into a hotel room and seeing what kind of room upgrade will be offered is pretty much my favourite part of staying in hotels. It’s so exciting to see what upgrade is waiting to be had!

I also really enjoy getting a late checkout. It makes mornings a lot easier, and just gives you more time to enjoy the property. I generally book flights or other travel arrangements later on in the day because I know I’ll get to stay at the hotel that much longer with late checkout, so why not enjoy the pool or the spa.

Get an Annual Free Night Award

You’ll receive an Annual Free Night Award on your card anniversary each year which is valid for a room rate of up to 35,000 points.
