Is the Amex Aeroplan Card Worth it Right Now?
Back in November, 2020 the Card offered a disappointing 15,000 points along with a Buddy Pass. In June, 2021, the Card rebounded with a limited time offer of a generous 75,000 point offer, along with an accelerated earning bonus of 5x the points on food and drinks for the first 6 months, and the Buddy Pass.
Since August, 2021, the Aeroplan Card is currently offering a welcome bonus of 40,000 Aeroplan points and a Buddy Pass, although there is no earning bonus this time around.
This is still a good time to apply for the Aeroplan Card with the current welcome bonus offer, as we likely won’t see a revised offer for another few months, and the travel benefits on this Card far outweigh the annual fee for the average traveller.
The Aeroplan Card is a charge Card, whereas the Reserve and Business Reserve are credit cards. That means you’ll need to pay your balance in full each month. If you’re looking to build your credit, earn Aeroplan points for a low annual fee and experience some of the travel benefits this Card has to offer without the investment of the Reserve Card, apply now.
