Act fast! The Aeroplan Black Friday promotion is back and offering up to 10x the miles on purchases made through the Aeroplan eStore! Bonus miles vary from retailer to retailer, with most offering between 4-10x the miles on all purchases. Also, these bonus miles are earned in addition to any Black Friday sales being offered by the retailer! What Is The Aeroplan eStore?
This Aeroplan Black Friday promotion is only available online through the eStore, which is the online shopping portal where you can earn Aeroplan miles on purchases from select retailers. To earn miles, simply login using your Aeroplan credentials and select a retailer. Once selected, a new page will open where you can shop online as normal! Aeroplan miles will automatically be tracked to your Aeroplan number and posted within 4-6 weeks after completing your purchase (though in practice points usually post much quicker than that). To ensure the transaction is tracked correctly, I recommend opening a new browser session in ‘private’ or ‘incognito’ mode before getting started.

This is a timely promotion for us, as Brad and I are considering purchasing a new iMac computer from Apple. Apple rarely discounts their products, so I consider this Aeroplan Black Friday promotion about the best case scenario in making a purchase of this size. Let’s break down the numbers and see just how many miles we could earn for this purchase:
Apple iMac 27-inch 3.8GHz with 2TB storage – $3,079 (miles generally won’t be earned on taxes/shipping)
Aeroplan Black Friday promotion – 5X the miles: 15,395 miles
Aeroplan Gold status promotion – 2X the miles: 6,158 miles
Points for credit card for purchase – 1.25 points/$ on my Business Platinum Card – 4,311
Grand total: 25,864 points
That’s enough for a roundtrip ticket within the continental United States or Canada, on a single purchase!
Aeroplan Black Friday Promotion Bottom Line
This is about as good as it gets for Aeroplan eStore promotions, with some very good retailers offering significant bonuses on products that otherwise wouldn’t go on sale. If you were planning to make a big purchase, or have some Christmas shopping to do, I would strongly encourage you to look to see if your retailer is participating for a chance to earn thousands of additional miles through this promotion!
